Atlantis Arisen is a lengthy optional story mission in Episode 5 starring Micky. It is unlocked after finishing the Episode 5 mandatory missions.
Mission Summary[]
Micky investigates an island, seemingly risen from the sea itself...
Plot[]
A mysterious island rose from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean, very close to the island megalopolis of Garmid. Shortly after, all aircraft above the island started to fall out of the sky. Threatening the already battered humanity, the EDF and the EAF have blockaded the island and contacted AMC Squad to investigate, as this seems to be pretty much their forte. Micky Crisp, speculating that there's something on the island shooting the aircraft out of the skies with powerful Engineer technology, have volunteered for this mission.
Gameplay[]
Atlantis Arisen Part 1[]
Pick up some equipment and proceed straight inland. At first you'll only meet zombies and evil spirits here. You need to find 2 pieces of orichalcum to open the large gate ahead. On the left side, dispose of some enemies, take MP40 or chainsaw if you want. Enter the structure with the switch on the side. Inside, battle several apparitions and octabrains, then climb up blue rock structures and hit the switches on both sides. This will open the door leading to the next chamber to a Poseidon statue. You will see the key ahead but it is blocked off. Go to one of the sides and go underwater. You'll definitely need the scuba gear from the beginning, but don't forget to use air bubbles. Navigate the underwater labyrinth filled with octabrains and ghost sharks. When you get to a larger room, surface temporarily in the center. The key item is right there, but still out of reach. Continue underwater through the center path and surface on one of the corners. Look around and you'll find a switch to open the bars to get the first piece of orichalcum.
On the opposite side, you'll find 2 abandoned sailing ships. On the left is a cave leading to a maze-like corridor filled with zombies and ghost sharks (which apparently feel just fine on dry land). Navigate to the end and get the trinity key (careful - this will spawn new enemies, including lost spirits). Go back and use it on the small tower across the bridge. Climb up to find the other piece of orichalcum. Take out a group of skull squires that just spawned. Backtrack to the large gate in the center and use two pieces of orichalcum to open it.
You will find yourself in an open and wide valley with crashed planes. On the right side, under a small bridge, there's another piece of orichalcum at the dead end. Back on the left side is a green cave with ghost sharks that leads to a C4. In another corner is another corridor leading to ghost Nazis which will eventually lead you to yet another brick of C4. Use these on the more distant crashed plane's wall back in the larger area. At the top, go to the ruins on the right, and then across the small bridge. Take out undead squires and knights and place the piece of orichalcum in one of the ruins. Follow the black cord on the floor and it will guide you vaguely to the corner with a red river. Go in and find a cave on the left. Make your way through several corridors of red water. Make note of a door on the way. You will eventually go a larger area and then to small tunnel where you submerge. Swim through the maze underneath (filled with octabrains and makaras) following the lit areas to find a switch that opens the door from before. Go inside and head up the ladder. Go into one of the rooms and find a key on the bed. Take out a quite numerous force of undead that just spawned. Use it to open a large door and enter.
Atlantis Arisen Part 2[]
Search around corridors collecting supplies. Keep an eye out for vents. This will eventually lead you to an elevator shaft. Jump down to a partially opened door. Head forward and try opening the door. The place will light up, and the . In the area with enemies, notice the vents. Use the one of the right by jumping off the railing. Head left inside and drop down. Head to a larger room and work your way up. There's a switch on the top floor. Go back down and open the door to the next area. Use the lift in the corner to go up and work all the way around to a control room and use the switch. Head all the way back to the room with 4 doors and open the one in front of you with glowing orbs with the letter Φ (phi).
Work you way around the platforms to the highest level (watch out for drones, both small and large) and you'll come to a large generator room. Use the switch on the other side. Move further towards the center and use the next switch. Shoot the center (The switch does not work). Leave through the broken wall. Find some stairs leading slightly up. You will find a control room with the letter Σ (sigma) switch on the wall. There are also 2 rooms with broken switches with supplies and a bronze key, but you cannot access them yet. Head back and follow the corridor to the right. When you come across a blue door, head down and hit switches in the green hallways on both sides to unlock it. You will eventually be back in the room with 4 doors. Open the Σ door. Let the grabbing hook grab you to the next room. Do the same here. Head through the shaft and drop down the next area. Let the grapple take you again. In this room, there's a switch close to the forcefields. Use the grapple near Γ (gamma). There's a switch near the letter Β (beta) on the wall. Let the hook take you. This one may take a while to get to you. You will be eventually dropped into waste disposal.
Head left to a derelict submarine. Across the river is a smallcave on the left and large one on the right. Go in the left one. Head through the long tunnels and you will eventually find a silver key. Use it on the door near the start of the tunnels. You can find a toolbox on the desk. Head back out to the submarine and go to the larger cave. Eventually go up a hill and fix the broken switch. Inside there's a control room on the left with a switch. This opens the previous door. Head pass the residence hallway to the elevator. In the brown corridor, the last room on the left has a silver key. Go back to the green corridor and use the silver key on the blue door on the window side.
Fight you way through the streets. You'll come across a yellow building with ΕΞ ΟΥΣΙΑ on it. Grab the pice of orichalcum on the left display. Use it near the end of the street. Inside, use your toolbox to fix another switch and end up in previous place. You can now repair all the switches and disable the forcefields. Make you way back to the Φ door and go the control room with the 2 rooms with broken switches. You can now access the bronze key. Go all the way back to the street and use the gold key on the door.
FIght through the next street find a green door with writing above it. The EAF has arrived and they storming the island! Work you way across the rooftops to some coral bleeding into a broken window. Back track all to a base and go to a building with 3 blue pillars on top for lots of supplies and a skull key. Now go to the building with radar dish on top and use the key inside. Hit the switch on the pillar. Go back outside and go into the large cylinder building. Be prepared to fight several different bosses in rapid succession.
