Auto-Shotgun

Rusty's semi-auto magazine fed shotgun, it fires once with every trigger press

  • Can be upgraded
  • Cannot use alternate shotgun ammo

Overview[]

A custom-built shotgun; despite it's name it's merely semi-automatic, firing once per trigger press. It's rate of fire is still very high if you fan the trigger, and it takes box magazines making it quick to reload. This weapon is less accurate than the Over-under but more accurate then the AutoM. It's biggest downside is an inability to use alternative ammo types.

The auto-shotgun is a useful, modest shotgun. It's useless against anything but unarmored or chitin foes. As a result, while it gets the job done sweeping up weaker foes, it won't have any use against more sophisticated enemies and tactics. Worse still, it's a heavy weight weapon, limiting Rusty's mobility.

The true point of excellence is its semi-auto fire, allowing it to discharge up to 16 shells in about 2-3 seconds of fanning the hammer, an intense barrage of damage.

Upgrades[]

There is one upgrade for the Auto-Shotgun.

Drum Magazine[]

Replaces the 8-round default box magazine with a 16-round drum magazine. Costs 300 polymers.
