Background[]
The Beholders are basically a floating head with a one big yellow eye, and a bunch of tentacles that end with a bunch of smaller eyes. They can spit out fireballs in rapid succession. Not only that, but they can curse you by using their gaze powers (you can't heal yourself while you're cursed). The only way to remove the curse is by killing them (although if you have researched the Beholder gaze project, you can break the curse by getting far enough from them). You'll know which Beholder cursed you for they'll turn reddish-purple color. You can't get cursed if you have Spirit Shield, or using the Vajra device as Snowfall.
While you mostly face them on land, you can also find some underwater as well.

Bestiary Information[]
Terrifying floating spheres of pure malignant energy. They can curse anyone caught in their gaze, and must then be killed to break the curse. Their eye is a weakpoint however, and can be shot to deal extra damage.
MIA Description[]
These creatures were once subterranean, though this hasn't affect their ability to see in daylight.
