Big Trouble in China is a mandatory second story mission in Episode 2.

Mission Summary[]
In Hong Kong, the Triad somehow manage to overthrow the local government. It's clear that's there is something bigger behind them. It is also possible that they have funding from abroad. AMC squad must check out the area, find information and see what they can do.
Gameplay[]
After entering the large room, there's a switch on the right side. It will open the door on the left and let in several triads. Take advantage of the Sword Rampage power-up (yin-yang symbol) in the middle and slice up all the enemies with the katana while temporarily invincible. In the courtyard, enter a small building to find the red keycard in a bathtub.
Back in the courtyard is the red door. Inside, you'll find the blue keycard on a bed. Go through the blue door, push the bookshelf on the very end on the right side revealing a passageway. At the end of the path there is a room with the purple keycard and several supplies (including a Zilla Missile Launcher and money).

Backtrack to the beginning of the level to the AMC Ship to return to base or to the purple door nearby. This door leads to a subway station. Board the train. Note: there's no turning back from here.
On the subway, make your way to the front. Between one of the cabs (right after the one with seats) there is a hole in the ceiling. You can find the green tech card at the end of the train. Use this card at the front of the train controls to stop the train. This leads directly into the Wharf.
Secrets[]
There are 6 secrets in Big Trouble in China:

Secret 1
- At the beginning prop a barrel at the stairs near the statue. Climb on and leap over. In the wall is secret with a slot 7 weapon and a fortune cookie.
Secret 2
- In the same area, climb the statue and leap onto the adjacent roof. On the top is a balcony leading to an apartment complex with some supplies and a green keycard.
Secret 3
- Behind a statue there is crack in the wall. Blow it up (and stand really far back!) to reveal several supplies and a slot 4 weapon.
Secret 4
- You can use the trees to jump up onto the roof of the bathhouse for Riot gun on top. You can then walk across a lantern line into an apartment. Above the red chair is a crack that can be blown up.
Secret 5
Secret 6
- Requires the green card found in secret 2. Open the green fence door and go through the sewer. Eventually you'll find a ladder that leads to the bathroom and to the room with the floppy disk and supplies. Also, a weapon for James can be found at the far end of the room. As with all artifact weapons, it will be replaced by an amulet in subsequent playthroughs.
- In the room with the beds, one of the bed has a secret switch on the side. Press it to open a secret door with a Zilla Missile Launcher, Heat-seeking Card, and Atomic Bomb.
Weapons & Artifacts[]
M4-15 (Weapon, James): can be found in a briefcase in the secret #5, in the same room where the floppy disk is.
Evidence/Lore[]
- Note from Cheung: in the small room with the computer right after the blue door.
- Map from Triad Office: in the same room. This one requires previous note and the floppy disk from secret #5 (see below).
Other Items of interest[]
- There is an armour vest behind one of the statues in the green corridor near the beginning.
- There is ammo and health in the courtyard in a small water reservoir.
- After opening the blue door, you can find a small office with a Windows 98 PC. The password is right behind you. The floppy disk is located in secret #5, which requires the green keycard from secret #2. This unlocks Hidden Dojo mission.
- Requires the shrinker. In the bathroom with the cracked mirror, there's a vent on the left. Shrink yourself and go through to find a slot 0 weapon.
Trivia[]
- Prior to the 10 year Anniversary Edition, the music of this level used to be a remixed version of Level 1 from Shadow Warrior Classic.
