Chasing Phantoms is an optional story mission in Episode 5 starring Maarten Oostrum.
Mission Summary[]
Maarten explores a strange magical realm, in hopes of finding a fragment of his father Jedrik.
Gameplay[]
The hole in the middle leads to a blue cave. When you teleport to the next island, head to the broken castle. There's a door to the cellar. Move forward. Hit the 2 switches on both sides where Nether Brutes are waiting. Go through the teleporter. When you reach a large center room, there are switches on both sides to activate. Head through the next teleporter. Jump over the platforms and climb up a rope to another teleporter. Prepare to fight a ghost.

Weapons & Artifacts[]
- Draining Axe (Weapon, Merlijn): on the second island, jump into one of the broken castles and you'll see a chest right before the cellar entrance.
- Ice Ring (Artifact): Found in secret #3.
- Jedrick's Shield (Weapon, Merlijn): will become available after defeating the boss of this level.
