Dracula's Castle is an optional EDF Side Mission. It's only available during Halloween, however it is accessible if you load dracula.map manually from the user map menu.
Mission Summary[]
You get shot down by a science experiment gone wrong near Dracula's Castle. Get in and make the bastards pay for rising your flight insurance premium yet again.
Gameplay[]
Head through the doors and go right and find a cellar. Go right, down the elevator and up the stairs eventually leading to a prison cell with a star key. Go back up the elevator and use the key next to the other elevator. Go up and follow the path to a bedroom. In the closet is an eye key. Use it up the stairs earlier. Past the Shambler and dining room is the skull key. Go back to the elevator that goes down. Make you way to the water and head right. There's a hole in the fence. Jump in and keep going to find the door that uses the skull key. Make sure you have scuba gear and dive into the green pool. Head through and you will find lots of treasure when you surface!
Secrets[]
There are 4 secrets in Dracula's Castle.
- Damaged tower in the courtyard has large green flames at the top. In the flames is a gold amulet.
- There is a flight item at the base of the damaged tower, on the side with the broken walkway.
- Note that the flames and the toxins here will damage you. But you can get protective boots on top the other tower.
- In the wine cellar, press a switch in the middle of the left wine rack to open an alcove on the opposite side, holding a spirit shield.
- From the wine cellar, in the elevator shaft leading down, walk off the edge and aim for the lighted alcove with a statue to get another gold amulet.
- At the small dock/underhang area next to the broken grate that leads to the catacombs area, the pillar across from the balcony has a lit insert containing a slot 8 weapon.
- There is a flight item underwater nearby (under the large shadow around the corner) to help you reach it.
Other Items of interest[]
- In the water underneath the starting bridge there is a set of scuba gear.
- There are an invincibility power up and silver bullets on the small cemetery in the courtyard.
- You can find explosive shells behind the door locked with the eye key, just before reaching the dining room.
