Gameplay[]
This advanced defensive piece of equipment is unlocked by researching Personal Energy Shield research project. Then it can be equipped in the loadout menu in the AMC Base. Unlike body armour, energy shield has 25 armour point maximum (50 with upgrade), compared to body armour's 100 points (200 if you found heavy armour, super armour or megasphere), and energy shield always suffer full damage regardless of the type of attack used against it. However, energy shield always absorb all damage if it haven't yet been depleted and also can recharge relatively quickly when out of combat for a bit, making it invaluable.
Trivia[]
- Energy shield doesn't protect from the majority of magical and supernatural attacks, some melee attacks and environmental damage.
- Snowfall is equipped with an energy shield by default. His default belt shield does not support any researched upgrades though, so you can give him proper energy shield for ¼ of the cost.
