Opening for Episode 3
Episode 3 begins in an unknown place and time, and you are given control of a woman named Cassandra, who seems to be on a mission of great importance. This completes the sequence before and after Episode 2 intro level. Cassandra proceeds and travels back in time to when James was beaten and had lost an arm to PATCOS, and helps him. In present, James gets a new bionic arm and is contacted by an anonymous informant about a deep space specialist called Snowfall, who'd be a great asset to the team, and about an opportunity to investigate X64-2, which is believed to be the Cycloids main outpost. They manage to discover a devastated planet, alongside some interesting clues, and a biological weapon Cycloids had developed. James decides to take the viral weapon for investigation, against the advise of other AMC members. Afterwards, the AMC squad returns to Earth to confront Le Sang in Egypt, ultimately resulting in Sang fusing with him. The AMC base is then attacked by the Paradigm Eschaton with the goal of obtaining the virus acquired by AMC Squad earlier, and as retaliation for the battle on Mars. Months later, a brand new, bigger, and more capable AMC base is rebuilt thanks to connections. Each member then heads to different locations to investigate for clues about an unknown artifact that could potentially save reality from the outer entities threatening it's safety.
Version 3.5 Redux[]
Some time after Episode 3 was released, artist Sebabdukeboss20 from Duke Nukem: Alien Armageddon joined the AMC Squad development team and worked on aggressively overhauling the art of the game. Initially he wanted to upgrade the sprites that were very low resolution and stylistically clashing.

However, as time went on, he decided to overhaul all the characters, weapons, NPCs, and enemies so that everything had a consistent look. His technique of rendering replicated the original Duke Nukem 3D sprites by using a 3D model, lighting and prerendering them at 5 angles.
Exceptions to overhauled enemies were any from Build Engine games like Duke 3D, Shadow Warrior, Exhumed, etc. Alicatgamer also joined the team and overhauled the tablet interface, boss life bars, player HUDs, and did voice acting. Along with overhauled art, many levels of Episode 1 were updated with better textures and layouts, some characters were revoiced, and many bug fixes were implemented.
3.5 Redux was released on July 27, 2019.
Version 3.6[]
Version 3.6 was released on September 29, 2019. It features long requested Polymost support, a new character select and mission UI, FMV cutscenes (Polymost only), more art updates, a new Bombshell's side mission, and bug fixes. Significant patches like these are rare for AMC Squad, but they were implemented because of the massive art overhaul and Polymost support.
Version 3.6 featured armour recharging stations for certain characters
10 Year Anniversary Edition[]
During COVID times, Sebabdukeboss20 spent a lot of time doing more and more art for the game while others worked on Episode 4. Eventually James decided to release another version before Episode 4 so there wouldn't be a longer period of no updates. December 24, 2021 marks the 10 anniversary of the AMC Squad. A new version of the game was released that includes the following:
