Eviction Notice is a mandatory story mission in Episode 3 starring Micky.
Mission Summary[]
A civil war has sprung up in Mesopotamia. The instigators are some religious brotherhood that are in possession of some highly advanced weapons. Micky is sent to find their base of operation, steal a new prototype hovertank and take out their war infrastructure.
Gameplay[]
Your AMC Transport has been shot down! Don't touch the green crystals. Go to the city. The tall nearby building has some supplies. Head to the hospital, make your way up to the roof and get the toolbox. Take out the enemy tank, then use the toolbox to fix the tunnel gate nearby. Head through the tunnels (you can ride a horse) but watch out for the big turrets and take a sharp right as poisonous crystals block your path. Go around and drop down the waterfall. The war factory doors will open.
Take the Hover tank inside and head back to the main base. Drive through the laser fences and destroy all the tanks and turrets. Head to the barracks (a hand-shaped building). Inside, grab several C4s and a gas mask and set the C4 to blow. This will trigger 2 Robosuits to appear outside. When you get near the entrance of the war factory, a heavy powersuit will appear. Grab the red keycard and place a C4 inside. Do the same for the Refinery, the Radar Comm, and Powerplant #1. Head inside the Construction Yard (largest building with a crane) which you will need the red key for. Blow up another powersuit and hit the panel on the wall to capture it. This will trigger a boss fight outside.
Secrets[]
- On top of the first grey building look down towards the mountain. There is a cave with a fiery crash, you can sprint jump here. Inside you can find a slot 8 weapon.
- On the third floor of the hospital there is an area barricaded with coffers. You can jump over them.
- When you get a gas mask from the Construction Yard, head back to the beginning and use the gas mask to enter the field of green crystals under the broken bridge to get the blue keycard. Then use it to open the door on the first floor of the skyscraper. Behind the door you'll find a briefcase with new weapon.
Weapons & Artifacts[]
- Ballistic Mask: Located in the barracks.
- GP-63 Rifle (Geoffrey): Located in the secret #3 described above.
Research Projects[]
- Medical Converter Kit: Mounted to a wall on the third floor of the hospital, within the area covered with red curtains. (This is just an alternate method to obtain the research, in case it wasn't already unlocked in Episode One's Megabase)
- Medical Emergency Foam: Mounted to a wall on the third floor of the hospital, straight forward after going up the stairs.
Other Items of interest[]
- Three Scientists that can be rescued are located on the hospital's upper floors.
- In the barracks, there's a bottle cap on one of the chests next to a bunk bed.
Trivia[]
- The map is an homage to the Command & Conquer games:
- The high-tech religious brotherhood (the antagonists of this level) are inspired by the Brotherhood of Nod;
- Most buildings are translations of the game's building sprites (such as the hand-shaped barracks), even the laser fence is a Nod structure.
- The toxic green crystals reference the Tiberium mineral, a central plot element of C&C.
- When driving the hovertank, music track "Mechanical Man" from Command & Conquer (1995) can be heard.
- The Footsoldiers have NOD symbols on them.
- In C&C engineer units can capture buildings, making them change what team they belong to, changing the color of the property in question. Micky is an engineer and indeed, changes the team the Construction Yard belongs to.
- The color of the Construction Yard post-capture is reminiscent of the yellow color used by the GDI, the group that opposes the Brotherhood of Nod.
- Originally the map was much smaller but grew significantly in size.
- If you research New Transport Craft project before this mission, your new AMC Transport Craft will successfully evade AA missiles and drop you on the roof of one of the buildings in the city where you can find a .50 sniper rifle and a rope. This area can also be reached by a Yoshi maneuver by riding the nearby horse up the elevator and jumping from it mid air.
