Flamethrower

A handheld flamethrower that deals heavy damage to organic enemies.

Gameplay

When you hold Fire, this weapon spits fire like a dragon. It is lethal against enemies who are sensible to fire. This includes most unprotected enemies, such as Enforcers, Cycloid Commanders or Thoth Soldiers, and some enemies in body armour, such as Pigcops or Purple Cultists. It is extremely powerfull, as even the sturdy Plasmic Cycloid Commander will die in a matter of seconds. And you don't even need to push much on the fire to kill them, this weapon is quite ammo effecient and allows some good preservation of other weapons. However this weapon will not deal any damage to non-organic, heavily armoured or supernatural enemies. Some enemies are also immune to fire, such as Battlelords for instance. It can also be dangerous to use. If you fire while moving forward, you may burn yourself with your own flame, especially if it's rubbing a nearby wall. You will not be set on fire but you will take damage.

One thing that differenciates it from the temporary flamethrower is the fact that it has longer range. It still remains a short range weapon but less than the temporary version.

You will gain 40 ammo per pick-up and you can hold up to 300 in total.

There are no upgrades for the Flamethrower.

• With v.3.5's art remake, the design of this weapon is based on the flamethrower from Aliens (1986).
