An attachment for Jane's combat suit; it fires energy beams that freeze enemies, and can damage all types of resistance.

Overview

The Freeze Beam is an attachment for Jane's combat suit. This weapon can fire energy beams that can freeze enemies. Much like Jane's Handlaser, the Freeze beam has pin-point accuracy, and has no recoil. It also has a faster fire-rate than the Handlaser. If the beam would reduce an enemy to zero health, then the enemy transforms into a frozen ice sculpture with 1 health. Damaging enemies while they are frozen will cause them to shatter. If they are not shattered, enemies will soon thaw and return to normal, though they will retain only 1 health. This weapon is highly effective against most enemies: supernatural, chitin, enemies with body armour and unarmored foes take full damage. However, heavy armoured enemies are protected from the Freeze Beam.

Trivia

The concept of this weapon is probably based on the laser cooling, the process that utilises lasers to cool down objects (mostly atoms, molecules, and small mechanical systems), approaching temperatures near absolute zero.
