G-SMG

Geoffrey's SMG has a high mag capacity and is effective against body armor.

Gameplay

G-SMG is a submachine gun with a 40 round magazine. It has a very fast rate of fire and decent power, it can kill a Pigcop in about 6 shots. It also has a decent reloading speed as well. The gun has good accuracy but you will have penalties upon shooting. It boast the same kind of battle scanner as Sang's AK-47. The display shows how many bullets are left in the magazine and, when you aim at a target, it will give you how many health points it has.

The weapon shoots bullets that can pierce body armour, however you will inflict reduced damage against heavy armour.

Like most SMGs, it works fine against both groups of strong and weak enemies, thanks to its decent power and 40 round mags instead of the usual 30. Its base accuracy allows you to decently shoot at distant targets as long as you shoot with light taps on Fire, due to the penalty. The information of enemies' health points can be interesting if you wish to optimize the use of your ammo, it can also help you know if you've hurt the enemy or not. Alongside the capacity display, this can help when playing on Professional and Armageddon difficulties. In overall it is a very balanced weapon, with only the accuracy penalty and average power as weakness.

You will gain 60 shots per pick-up and you can hold up to 500 in total (the second highest amount of the whole game).

Upgrades

There is one upgrade for the G-SMG.

SMG Extended Magazine

This upgrade increases the magazine size from 40 to 60 bullets. This helps having less frequent reloads and makes the weapon a bit more reliable against crowds of enemies. Costs 150 polymers.
