Like many of the Solar System's moons, Ganymede has not been spared in the search for materials to fuel Earth's growth. The usual collection of facilities have been erected around the surface by many different countries and companies. Being further away from Earth means many companies cut corners with regards to safety and security, so a law system consisting of marchals similar to the Wild West is in place. Although subject to corruption, relative peace exists in Ganymede and Jupiter's other moons.
