This is Mikko Sandt's slot 2 weapon, the Gold Rose. As it is a gold weapon, it sparkles, which some users may find tacky, gaudy or distracting. Rub some dirt on it if it bothers you.
Loadout Description[]
A custom gold-plated Magnum; this fires gold standard high-power rounds. Has a mag cap of 8 rounds, with decent strength.
Gameplay[]
This heavy revolver behaves similar to the MDF Magnum, sans a few differences. First, it uses gold standard ammo; effectively it does normal damage. Second, it always does 47 damage. So, no matter who or what you're hitting, 47 damage.
It is a powerful and very accurate weapon. Its accuracy makes it good against distant enemies as long as you wait between shots due to the accuracy penalty. Its power allows it to kill Enforcers or Pigcops in 3 shots. It is effective against groups of 2 or 3 enemies thanks to its power. However its short 7 round magazine can be a hindrance against greater groups despite a relatively quick reload.
Compared to the MDF Magnum it is slightly more powerful, can shoot 1 less bullet without reloading and has less ammo but, since it's a golden gun, it is effective against absolutely all types of enemies.
Location[]
Can be bought from the Shopkeeper for 75k base budget after completing all Episode 1 mandatory missions on Expert difficulty or higher.
Upgrades[]
There are no upgrades for the Gold Rose.
Trivia[]
- Despite the loadout menu claiming it holds 8 rounds, it actually holds 7.
- This handgun was named Gold Talon in the older versions of the game. It also looked different, resembling a long-barreled golden Desert Eagle.
