Guerillas in the Mist is a mandatory story mission of Episode 3 of the AMC Squad starring Geoffrey.
Mission Summary[]
Geoffrey investigates some suspicious activity in the rainforest near the border of Rwanda and DR Congo, fights *ahem* Guerilla soldiers, and and finds some bizarre things he didn't expect to find.
Gameplay[]

Take out the Rippers and pick up the dragon shells. Wrap around the jungle and head into the cave. Don't bother with the VR yet. You need a Firewall Chip. So go left (watche right and fight Guerillas. At the control station there is a firewall chip. On the left is a plant for C4 but that will come later. Head back and use the VR. When your done, take the firewall chip out, backtrack to the other computer and use the VR from earlier. This will open the hangar doors. Use the Hoverboat if you like. Proceed to the right tunnel, take out more Guerillas and Wasp Drones, then go upstairs to the control room. Hit the switch to open the door.

On the left, find a computer and use the firewall chip and VR. Talk to Isabella Pascual to find out what happens here. Grab the first half of the tablet on the table near the weapons upgrading machine. Head outside the building and swim to the old abandoned riverboat. Head inside and then outside. Something ain't right. You'll be seeing ghosts. Talk to the ghost girl outside. Go inside and talk to the ghost woman, then talk to the ghost girl outside again. Return inside, kill all the apparitions and get the second half of the tablet. Head out.

Backtrack to the VR station at the Guerilla base and talk to Isabella again. Head up to the control room area and to the main office and get the C4. Use it in the cave earlier in the mission. Inside, go right to the mines and find a railroad track. Follow the tracks left to a lava cave with an ancient temple. Kill Guerilla leader and his bodyguards, then hit the switch in front of the bridge. Go into the VR. Have a tank battle. Turn on the switches on the green and red buildings to disable the forcefields and head up the temple.
Secrets[]
Secret 1
- When you find a railroad track, head right. You'll need a gas mask. There you'll find a shrine for a gorilla and a weapon.
- Inside the red tunnel, look on your left. One section of the wall, where the lights are broken, can be opened. There you'll find a heavy armour and alternate shells.
Weapons & Artifacts[]
- Auto Shotgun (Geoffrey): Located in the mines late in the level, in the the wooden shack-looking structure.
Evidence/Lore[]
- Gorilla leader diary: Lying on the desk in the office upstairs in the guerilla base.
Other items of interest[]
There´s two shortcuts to transverse some parts of the level faster,you will need to use the red explosive barrels for this:
- On the cave tunnels after fighting the wild gorillas,to the left there´s a waterfall with a small pond on it,jump to the waterfall and you will find a life amulet and a destructible wall.
- On the cave tunnels right before the gas mask small section there´s another destructible wall to backtrack faster to the main river tunnels.
- There is a wooden office in the tunnels near the end of the level. To enter, you must use a explosive (Like the Rotary Grenade Launcher) and fire at the door around the fence. Inside the office, you'll find an Incendiary SG, as well as Geoffrey Chibi.
Trivia[]
- The VR segment was inspired by Tron (1982).
- Some of Geoff's weapons have a dirtied up look because of the swampy environment.
