This is Geoffrey's 8th weapon, the Incendiary Shotgun. This weapon replaces the G-Meltagun.
Background[]
Loadout Description[]
An incendiary auto-shotgun; yet another weapon notorious on Mars, this gun delivers blistering firepower; understandably at the cost of accuracy.
Gameplay[]
While inaccurate, the Incendiary Shotgun fire a burst of projectiles that leave trails of fire behind them. Like with other weapons that can shoot fire (like DZ Firestorm or shotguns with Dragon shells), enemies hit by the flames will catch on fire and most likely drop dead after a while from the immense afterburn damage, so it's perfect for crowd control. However, this gun is inaccurate, its projectiles are relatively slow and have random trajectories, so it will be not easy to hit even semi-distant targets. Thankfully, you don't need to to hit them directly. This weapon is ineffective against heavy armoured enemies, robots and bosses but it will harm organic enemies with body armour or even supernatural protection, and is devastating against chitin. Just bear in mind that while Incendiary Shotgun favors close range fights, don't be too close, otherwise you could end up burning yourself with it.
Location[]
This weapon is located in Geoffrey's mission Guerillas in the Mist of the Episode 3. You can find it in a briefcase, located in the mines, late in the level. When you enter the mines, go left, and you'll find a wooden shack-looking structure to your right. You will need an explosive weapon to enter inside the shack. Like all weapons found in briefcases, it will be replaced by the gold amulet in subsequent playthroughs.
Upgrades[]
There are no upgrades for Incendiary Shotgun.
