Background

An innovative pump-action shotgun with dual tubes that can be loaded with separate ammo types. Each tube holds 7 rounds each, for a total of 14+2 in the chamber.

Gameplay

Kel-Tec KSG-12 is James' special pump-action shotgun. This shotgun boasts pretty good accuracy, so it can reliably take down enemies from short to medium range, especially if you crouch (Though it's still less accurate than Auto 5). This weapon does maximum damage against unarmored or chitin opponents, but deals much less against body armour, heavy armour, robots and supernatural. Also, as a pump-action shotgun, it is capable of using all kinds of alternate 12-gauge ammunition, from flechette to dragon shells. Its twin side-by-side tube magazines are actually functional here, with separate ammo counters for each magazine (Press Alt-fire to switch between the tubes). And each tube magazine can be loaded with different type of shells, making it versatile and potentially adaptable to almost all situations. Each magazine can hold up to 7 shells, plus 1 in the chamber. The downside is its somewhat underwhelming firing speed and long time between reloads. In overall, KSG is a reliable and formidable shotgun to use.

Location

This weapon can be found in the Island Facility, in the blocked off blue curtain area in the Wasp Drone workshop around the conveyor belt.

Upgrades

There are no upgrades for the KSG-12, but the weapon's color can be customized from the loadout menu.
