The AEK-919 Kashtan is an automatic sub-machine gun, firing the 9x18mm round with a magazine of 30-rounds. It fires a smaller caliber bullet than the Tokarev, it's ideal for those who prefer volume of fire over the semi-auto pistol.
Gameplay[]
The Kashtan is a very high rate of fire SMG; it's accuracy and power is less than that of the Tokarev but ammo is more frequent and it has a larger magazine capacity. It's more suited to taking out groups of weak enemies, but suffers against stronger ones. It's bullets also do poorly against body-armour

The Kashtan can be aquired by rescuing Matvei and then purchasing it from the Shopkeeper's stock.
