The Moon has seen many visits, and just as many colonies installed as well. Serving as a forward military outpost, as well as a (comparatively) cheap tourist location and a mining facility, the Moon plays an important part in Earth's and the Solar system's defence. The foremost colony on the Moon is titled 'Polaris outpost', built by a joint effort of the EDF and the US government.
