Background[]
The Paradigm Eschaton is a massive doomsday cult formed on Mars. They are led by an enigmatic figure known as Trenton Solari. Recently, they have gained decent popularity both on Mars and on Earth and have even begun to absorb other cults. According to the Paradigm beliefs, there are only two groups of people: those who have witnessed "them" coming (read: people who joined the cult) and those who are ignorant of "their" existence (read: everyone else). So, the Paradigm members is utterly devoted to spreading their "message": massacring everyone who don't heed their call, which is to say anyone who isn't working for them.

During the Far Mountain Reaches mission, James has discovered a plot by a cult to raid the Arsia Mons Colony on Mars. Sang has been investigating the lower colony area when Paradigm Eschaton detonated multiple explosive devices, launched their attack, took over of critical junctions in Arsia Mons and started slaughtering civilians. While AMC Squad fought tooth and nail and ultimately thwarted the Paradigm's efforts, many innocent lives were taken. Even worse, it was clear that this was not the end of the mega-cult and AMC Squad definitely hasn't seen the last of them yet.

The Paradigm invaded the AMC headquarters shortly after the squad returns from Egypt, destroying everything they come across. The AMC Squad was eventually pushed back and only managed to keep the Chryssalid virus from falling into the Paradigm's hands and to fend them off by setting off the on-site nuke, destroying the base in the process. Considering the extreme circumstances, this was the only way to get rid of them.

- Before joining AMC, Rusty Nails had dealt with these guys on Arsia Mons Colony when they were starting out.
- During the brief dream conversation with James, Axon revealed that Trenton Solari knows about the existence of the Mandala and believe that it would help him bend the cosmos to his will and turn him into a god.
