Shellshocked is a short side story mission in Episode 3 starring Bombshell. If you have researched the Paranormal Research Room research project, it will unlock after completing Chaosphere.
Mission Summary[]
Bombshell is relaxing on break at a bar when the local area becomes the target of a Cycloid invasion; this map takes place concurrently to City Under Siege.
Note: This is an optional mission, and is not required for completing the episode. Beating this level will unlock Bombshell as a selectable character.
Gameplay[]

Head to the bar and grab some weapons and ammo. You'll fight off a few enemies with limited ammo, so use the bar counter and headshots to your advantage. Eventually a hole in the wall will open to the outside. Outside, go right and into the door, hit the switch to open a Tunnel Gate. More enemies will spawn, including the Pigboss and the Cyber Enforcer. Use the motorcycle to drive through the tunnel.
When you cross the bridge being destroyed by alien aircraft, head left to the base. Wreck several Terminators (you can use a mounted heavy machinegun to your advantage), then grab the C4 on the Humvee's hood and blow up the doors with it. Inside head down the hall and use the elevator on the right. Optionally, you can scan the left 8 button door and open it (you'll probably need to shoot the higher buttons) to get a few supplies from 4 teleporters. Go right in the Central Command/Supplies. Head to the right opening up to a room with cabinets. Behind one of the cabinets is a switch revealing a bed with a red keycard.
Back in the previous room, use the elevator to go up to Central Command. There are a lot of enemies in here and turrets in all 4 corners. When you walk into the room, windows will open on the opposite side and more enemies will appear, including Fat Commanders. Shoot the switch next to the security camera to unlock the gate outside. Then the wall will be blown up by a cycloid gunship. Jump down to the water and climb back up on the right side back to where you left your motorcycle.
Ride the motorcycle back to the right side of the road to the now opened gate. The ground will shake and open a cave on the left with Protector Drones. Head inside the cave. Go through the water cave and swim into a huge cavern. Climb up some rocks, cross a bridge and deal with a squad of aliens including a Cyber Enforcer and a Battlelord. Make your way up a ladder and through a semi-open door. Take the elevator. You will be greeted by the Cycloid Emperor. Head through the various teleporters, eliminate any alien that gets in your way, collect some supplies and a blue keycard (watch out for the Emperor's rockets splash damage though). Use the keycard to go up. When you get to the 4th floor, you'll be finally able to turn off the forcefield and kill the Cycloid Emperor.
Secrets[]
- In the supply room early in the level, look behind a broom and a mop for a misaligned wall texture. Inside are
Secret 4
- After opening the gate in Central Command, an alien gunship will blow up the wall, revealing the path to the next secret. There is a storeroom with an open window adjacent to this opening; carefully jump to this room for a shrinker.
- In the oval office, to the left is a door locked by eight switches. Use the scanner to reveal which buttons to shoot, allowing you into the secret room with four teleporters. If you want to learn the solution the hard way, there is a chart with the correct buttons near one of the beds in the crew quarters. Also, use teleporter "BETA" to access a destroyed room with the Beretta pistol for James.
Secret 5, part 1
Secret 5 part 2, and the Super Secret
- Climb up the ladder where the Battlelord was, but do not go through the door yet. To the right is a couple ledges in the wall, and a cracked area to be blown up. Go through the tunnel to see another cracked wall, blow it up, and jump across the canyon for the Super Secret (see below). Then, carefully jump across the ledges on that side of the canyon wall to jump to the top of the waterfall. Inside is a switch that will open metal bars blocking the secret, at the bottom of the waterfall. Inside this secret is a teleporter that will take you back to the top of the waterfall, sparing you a significant amount of backtracking to finish the level.

- (Unmarked) The Super Secret is behind the cracked rock wall mentioned above. Blow it up, jump across the canyon or use the Side Dodge (if researched), and prepare yourself for a satisfying scripted event, a megasphere, a Bombshell Chibi, and encouraging words from the mapper himself.

Trivia[]
- The music that plays on this level is an unused bar music track from one of the many early versions of Duke Nukem Forever.
- This map originated from another mod, Duke Nukem Forever 2013. The ending was adapted from another of the author's works for the 90 Minute CBP, where mappers have to make a complete map within a 90 minute period.
- The dialogue spoken after defeating the Cycloid Emperor is similar to the ending cutscene after beating the Battelord in Episode 1 of Duke Nukem 3D.
