These items (known as "Speed items", "R-Items" or "Inventory slot 2") are the equivalents of Duke Nukem's Steroids item. Once used, they will rapidly deplete and provide you with special effects, usually faster movement (which can help to jump far), increased melee strength and restoring your original size if you're shrunk. In AMC Squad, the item's effects can vary depending on the character you're playing as.
You will move faster and jump higher than usual. Also, if you are unarmed and using your fists, you'll be punching much more swiftly and with increased strength. Kick attacks are also buffed.
- Zaxtor's Speed Boots
You will move faster and your kick attacks will be more powerful. Zaxtor's melee attacks are boosted more than other characters.
- Merlijn's Power Bracers.
You will move faster, jump higher and both your kick and fist attacks will be more powerful. Also, the Dragonslayer greatsword will deal more damage when this item is in use.
- Highwire's bottle of Vodka
Your kick and fist attacks will be more powerful. Also, you will regenerate health within the normal threshold (100 by default, increases with Amulets in difficulties below Pro).
- Rusty's Turbo Caffeine + Snowfall's Imuno-Booster
You will move faster and both your kick and fist attacks will be more powerful.
- Sang's Blood Potion
You will move faster and both your kick and fist will be more powerful. When active, you can also get rid of Blood Sigils without losing health. Can also be used by the Cultist.
- Mikko's MS-Corp Mech
Spawns temporary MS-Corp Powersuit for about 14 seconds. The suit can be exited and re-entered; doing so does not affect the remaining duration.
- Geoffrey's Vitamin X + Bombshell's Steroids
You will move faster and both your kick and fist attacks will be more powerful. Also, you will have maximal accuracy and no recoil while the item is in use. This is extremely useful when using the AP-SMG for example.
- Micky's Laser Absorber
When this item is in use, you will automatically convert any laser attack that you sustain into armour points, without taking any damage from it. This works with Lizard Trooper's lasers, Red Enforcer's lasers, and Footsoldiers from Eviction Notice though they don't always fire lasers so be careful.
- Kagura's Ninja Potion
When active, this item will supercharge Yo, allowing him to send out multiple magical slashes with every attack when you have him selected.
- Jane's Cluster Bombs
When placed on the ground, it will soon explode into a bunch of tiny powerful bomblets that will clear out everything in a small radius.
- Maarten's New Shield
Replaces Maarten's Knight Shield with a new one.

Geoffrey's Vitamin X is the same item (though with slightly different effects) as in Duke Nukem 64, Duke Nukem 3D version for the Nintendo 64, in which it replaced the Steroids due to censorship.
