The Final Confrontation is an optional 7 part EDF Side Mission. It is unlocked after completing Episode 3.
Mission Summary[]
The Cycloids are at it again. Investigate a strange portal device located not too far from here. You'll need to take your way to the naval base first - to get to that fight through that city to a train station and then catch a train to it.
Gameplay[]
Part 1: The Invitation
Head out the room and then go through the corridors to the large lobby. Dispose of all aliens that get in your way. Come into the store next to the fountain for find a blue keycard. Head outside to the flooded area to use the blue key. Take the elevator up to the roof and grab a red keycard near the helicopter crash. Make your way to the other side of the road to the entrance to the EDF base to use it.
Part 2: The Compound
Head to the left and go all the way down to find Scuba Gear. Head back to the start. Jump in the water and find a tunnel on the right. Take the first right. When you surface, head up the hill. After going up the stairs, jump between the buildings. Head into the motel. Go into the kitchen passing the stairs and open the fridge to get the blue keycard. Go up all stairs. There's a ceiling vent in the pool table room. Use the blue key at the top of the stairs. On the roof, take out the Cyberaliens and other enemies (there's Nailgun here if you need) and leap over to the roof of the adjacent building. Open the 3rd vent and drop in. Stand on the platform and wait for the grappling hand to grab you. Work your way around the room to a missile and yellow keycard. Exit through a small elevator on the right side. There's another elevator close by. Take it down to get the red key and go back up. Use the yellow key on the door. Use the combination switch. Then shoot the switch in the corner. Head back and go through the hole in the wall. Swim through the water and you'll be back at the back of the building. Go back up the hill and use the red key on the gate.
Part 3: Moving Death
You should now find yourself on the moving train. Head right and get the blue key on the chair. Go back the other way and use it on the door all the way down. Jump into the green water and resurface outside. Make your way to the very front and get the red keycard. Head back and use it down below. Drop down the elevator as a shortcut. Use the elevator on the left, go through the theater and then through the hole in the wall. Now head to the front of the train to exit.
Part 4: Wonderland Hell
Head to the back and a hole will open up in the wall. You have to find several keycards throughout the alien-infested theme park. Head to the twisted mansion for the red keycard. The yellow keycard is in the maze of illusions. The blue keycard is in the shooting gallery after playing. Use all the keys at the door close to the "Crazy Bumper Carz" entrance. Careful, there's a Battlelord inside. Use the yellow keycard for the main lift. Head down the stairs of the "Babe Land" to find the exit.
Part 5: The Naval Complex
Go through the vent in the wall. Make your way through a cave, kill a battlelord and take the Dartgun if you want. In the naval base head right, use the elevator and go into the building. Make note of the blue keycard on the ground floor. Go up the stairs and leap from the window to get through the broken door. Use the switch and go through the first door. Leap across the boxes to get the red keycard. Use it in the building across the base. Go up and use your PDU to hit the right switch combination on the pillars. It will open a switch on the left wall. A lot of explosions will happen. Head back to the earlier building and on the ground floor, the blue keycard will be accessible now. Proceed to the front right of the battleship to a small building to use the blue keycard. Leap onto the battleship and head to the control room. At the top, push the button of the right side near the window. This will make a hole in the ship. Go through that hole. The yellow keycard is hiding behind some toxic barrels. Take the elevator up, go into the gear room and hit the switch in the corner. This will open a door to exit the room. Go in the smaller ship and use the yellow keycard here. It will fire torpedoes at the gate. Swim to the submarine. Break the glass and exit.
Part 6: The Alien Pyramid
Collect ammo around the pyramid if needed before entering. Drop down and head left to a corridor with 5 blue pillars. The 2nd one has the blue keycard. Head back to the big room and open the door and use the elevator down. Head through and use the blue key on the door around the small waterfall. There's a Battlelord inside. Hit the switch on the chair to open the door behind. Leap over the sinking stones to the other side and use the switch. Note: the stones sink and do not come back up. Head to the centre and go down. Hit the switch ahead and behind. Open the forcefields and hit all switches in each corner. This will reveal two more metal switches. Go in the larger open room with the elevator. Leap on the ledges and pick up a red keycard. Backtrack to the room on the other side, use the teleporter and use the red key nearby. There's a booby trap next. Use the PDU to shoot the right switches. Up ahead, step on the corners to open the door. Head down to the waterfall and hit the switch on the right. This will open a gate down below. Head through the tunnels.
Part 7: Another World
This is a large open canyon with lots of enemies and mini-bosses. Make your way forward, eliminate any opposition. Look for a spiral waterfall. Finally, nearby over a hill you will see an altar far below. Many aliens and the Battlebaron boss is waiting for you in the last part.
Secrets[]
Part 1:
- On the first floor, the gold amulet pickup in the center of the fountain counts as a secret.
- In the first floor shop next to the fountain, use the cash register to lower a nearby shelf to reveal slot 9 ammo.
- In the carpeted upstairs room with shelves containing bottles and drinkware, destroy the objects on the southern wall and walk through it for ammo.
- In the bowling alley, crouch through the second set of pins from the right to find heavy armour and a secret message.
- At the front entrance of the building, the center of this fountain also counts as a secret area.
- Jump into the burning dumpster next to the collapsed building for slot 3 weapon and some ammo.
- From the rooftop restaurant, go to the west roof and jump over the fence into the empty swimming pool below, aiming for the cracked area.
Part 2:
- On the second floor of the motel, blow up the crack in the second room from the right to find a slot 4 weapon.
- On the third floor of the motel, in the far right room, jump through the painting to get some armour.
- Jump to fhe roof of the caution-striped garage building for some slot 5 ammo.
- In the entrance to the red key card room (basement room with lots of slimer eggs) break the potted plant next to the elevator to find armour.
Part 3:
- In the cargo car with the enormous sliding double doors to the outside, one of the crates has an open top. Jump in it for a medkit.
- In the theater car lobby, use the arcade machine on the right ("Innocent?") to lower the vending machine.
- On the crane car, the open crate on top of the stack of crates counts as a secret.
Part 4:
- In the chimney atop the "Ghost Hunter" ride you can find night vision goggles.
- Climb to the top of the fountain next to the bumper cars to get a gold amulet.
- To the right and around the corner from the concession stand, use the trash can to climb up the wooden wall for a slot 5 weapon.
- Getting on top of the square, jump onto the small beige building in the log flume area to get a slot 7 weapon.
Part 5:
- When entering the building with the helipad, immediately run to the right or left side before the door closes, to find a secret room with a slot 7 weapon. This secret activates only once.
- On the lowered corner rooftop of the red key building, the windows behind the satellite dish can be jumped through. This roof can be reached by jumping off of the ship onto the metal arm the turret was mounted onto.
Part 6:
- Behind the pyramid there's a slot 8 weapon.
- After taking the elevator down, there's a stone altar with flames and red lighting in the corner. Use the back of this rock to open a hidden room in a nearby wall. Smashing a window in this room reveals a medkit.
- Crack in the wall after the booby trap ceiling with night vision.
