You may find broken switches, computers, machinery or other items during your travels. Sometimes these can be fixed, as long as you have a toolbox. Face the broken item and hit your use key to repair it. Toolboxes are often required to proceed through a mission, but occasionally they are used to unlock secret doors.
Certain agents may be able to salvage toolboxes and reuse it: Micky has 100% chance to salvage a toolbox; Highwire, Rusty and Bombshell have 50% chance to salvage it.
