Some missions contain weapon emplacements - powerful stationary mounted weapons. These weapons are immobile and cannot be removed from its mounts. However, the emplacements can be taken over and used against the enemy. You can use them by moving close to the weapon and pressing the Use key to gain control of it. To disengage, just press the Use key again. The firepower of the mounted weapons are very high, but, unlike vehicles, they provide no additional protection to the user. To put it simply, you are completely immobile and exposed to attacks when using it, so you should always be ready to get off the gun when overwhelmed by enemies or when the ammo is running low.
Types of weapon emplacements:[]

- Heavy Machinegun - fires powerful high-calibre rounds.

Trivia[]
- Presence of the weapon emplacement usually indicates a likely a presence of a powerful enemy or a wave of weaker ones, so the weapon should be manned as soon as possible.
- It seems that mounted HMG makes two attacks with every shot - one hitscan and one projectile.
