Wetlands of Rowgar is one of the mandatory story missions of Episode 4.
Mission Summary[]
At the request of Brother Pheraclas, Micky must journey to the Wetlands of Rowgar and "return the moon to the sky" (whatever that means).
Gameplay[]
Winderwell Forest[]
Follow the path until you come to a split in the road. There will be a few splits, so for all of them, go left each one. You'll then enter some caves, and then on the other side, you'll see a pirate ship. Take some goodies from the boxes, then board the ship and talk to the captain. He'll say to do either one: get the sextant, or turn on the lighthouse. You only need to do one of these choirs, but if you do both, you'll get awarded with some treasures and a Magic Upgrade Orb. So here's what you need to do to get each one.
Getting the sextant - from the pirate ship, go back to the path until you reach a split. Go left. You'll soon find a cave down below. Prepare yourself, cause this is the Spiders nest. There is a Flamethrower in the nest to make killing spiders much more easier. Make your way to the deepest part of the nest to find the sextant, but beware, as it is guarded by many spiders, including a mother spider that can give birth to smaller spiders. Once you get the sextant, make your way back outside, and exit the spider caves. Careful cause on your way out, there is a Necromancer's jumpscare (hope you bring some energy or silver weapons).
Turning on the lighthouse - from the pirate ship, go back to the path until until you reach a split. Go right, then make two lefts. Enter the house in the mountains, then go up back outside. Enter the caves. On the other side you'll see the light house. However, it is guarded by a troll. After dealing with him, go into the lighthouse. Once inside, go up the stairs, then flip the switch. Now the lighthouse is on. Just watch out as you leave the area and enter back into the caves, for there's another jumpscare.
Once you complete either one task, or both, go back to the pirate ship and talk to the captain. Afterwards, go down to the bunker, and go to the farthest green bunk, and a cutscene begins.
Boaking Accident[]
Make your way to the upper deck. The boat is being attacked by a Sea Serpent. Use the cannons to take it out. Once down, the battle is over... Or is it? Nope, it isn't. You're not just dealing with any normal Sea Serpent, you're dealing with a Hydra! A sea creature that has 8 heads (at least that's what I counted). Prepare for quite a hectic fight! Once again use the cannons on the heads to take them out. However, being that there's like 8 heads, you'll have to dodge a bunch of projectiles from all directions. Not to mention you have to keep refilling the cannons with cannonballs. Thankfully, when you take out the head, the fight gets easier there's less projectiles to dodge. Once all the heads are dead, what's left of the ship sinks and Micky passes out on a floating plank which eventually takes him to his destination, Wetlands of Rowgar.
Wetlands of Rowgar[]
The first thing you'll notice is that you lost all your weapons. When the plank arrives at the docking area, jump onto it, and then jump onto the wall. Go right to get some weapons and ammo first, then go left. Make your way down the stairs. After going through an underground tunnel (there will be another jumpscare), you'll soon find a horde of orcs attacking the fortress. If you manage to kill the orcs before they break down the gates, climb onto some rocks on the left. Then look for a passageway to the right. This will lead you into the fortress. When you go down the stairs and enter the yard, a squad of enemies, namely some orcs, berserkers and a troll will break down the gate if it hasn't been broken yet, and storm the fortress. After dealing with the horde, replenish your supplies, speak with some NPCs if you want and enter the hallway across the yard. Then exit through the back gate. Enter the caves to the right. Then go to the very bottom of the caves. Take out Naaldir's minions who seem to be pillaging the farmlands. At the bottom go left first to enter some fields. Go to the blue AMC crate to pick up a brick of C4. Then head back to the caves, and go the other way. Place the C4 on the wall at the very end at the bottom, and go through the tunnel onto the lift.
Dehydration[]
This level begins with an elevator ride with a nice underwater view. Once it ends, press the switch to the right, and then enter the underwater vehicle. Use it to get to the Engineer underwater base. When you find it, enter it, activate the airlock, and go on inside. Head down the stairs, then enter a big room with a troll. Go back upstairs. Go through the hallway, enter another big room, and face a Conservator. After destroying it, pick up the toolbox, and fix four terminals in the corners. Then fight your way back through the egyptian monsters, including the Highlander Reptiloid, to the huge portal to end the mission.

Other Items of interest[]

- When you arrive to the underwater Engineer base, swim all the way to the back. Behind it is a lone AMC crate that has a Advanced AMC Soldier Chibi.
Trivia[]
- There are several references to the Stargate franchise. The underwater base has a gate room, inspired by the gate rooms of both Atlantis and the Destiny of Stargate Universe. Micky even references the Stargate franchise by name when egyptian monsters appear, due to the egyptian theme of the Goa’uld in Stargate SG1. Naturally, the gate room has a working very stargate-like portal, which has a similar appearance and function to that in the franchise, including a vortex splash when the gate is activated.
