XM8-Laser Rifle
Loadout description[]
An upgraded version of the XM8 that James used in his EDF days. Fires a powerful laser pulse that deals high damage but is weak agains armour. Its alternate mode is firing AP slugs.

Upgrades[]
There is one upgrade for the XM8.
XM8 Mana Upgrade[]
Allows XM8 to fire magical projectiles using Green Mana. This upgrade can be bought from the blacksmith in Easthaven for 1 Orb.
Imagination World[]
In Imagination World TC this was James' slot 7 weapon. It hadn't laser sight and its laser blasts were not hitscan, but its magazine capacity was higher (50 vs 20). Also, it couldn't fire AP slugs in alternate mode but it could fire gas grenades.
Trivia[]
- This weapon's alternate firemode is similar to the 40mm caseless slugs.
- In real life, XM8 was an ordinary ballistic assault rifle, not a laser rifle.
